It’s been a while since we featured a Designer Spotlight, so we thought we’d bring it back with the 2016 Collection from Athaena Bride. We love the fine silk and fabrics used in their designs and the the detials in the craftsmanship. According to their website, the name Athaena is derived from Greek mythology; Athena the goddess of wisdom and strategy, patron of the arts and crafts. The gowns are very goddess like and the 2016 collection is reminiscent of and inspired by theater and the arts.
From the Designer:
The 2016 bridal collection is inspired by a night at the theatre. Sumptuously airy tulle gowns evoke scenes from romantic ballets and Degas paintings. The light fabrics allow for dancers grace, flow and movement. Silk organza pleated trains, Athaena signature drapes, rouleaux belts and straps, exquisite beading and floral hand embroidery adorn the delicate gowns.”
Stay tuned next week for the Evening Collection from Athaena Bride.
