If there’s one thing I love about today’s real wedding is the use of all the greenery in the ceremony and even during the reception. While I love the smell and look of flowers, I definitely feel like using greenery can be beautiful as well and a cost saver. Lisa and Dante have known each other since elementary school and only started dating while in college at Purdue University. The two love birds, had an intimate wedding at The ALLURE in Indiana. Take a look below and be inspired!
From the Photographer:
Lisa and Dante are one of the cutest couples that you will ever run across! They have known each other for most of their lives. They met in elementary school but didn’t start daiting until freshman year of college at Purdue University. After that, they have been side by side ever since! Dante proposed to Lisa on March 11, 2015 (so they got married on the anniversary of their engagement!). Lisa came home from an internship and Dante was standing in the living room at then end of a rose petal and candle aisle and asked for her hand in marriage. He also videotaped the proposal and they played it during the reception! Lisa and Dante’s wedding was so beautiful and perfect in every way. They held their ceremony and reception at The Allure in LaPorte, Indiana. This was my first time at The Allure and it is certainly breathtaking! Lisa and Dante wanted their wedding to have a romantic and intimate vibe so their wedding was covered with candles and greenery. Their wedding was filled with family and friends so they were surrounded by the people they love the most and it was just perfect.”
From the Bride:
I have known Dante now for more than half my life, we met in elementary school. We started dating our freshman year of college at Purdue University. We have somehow managed to travel through life together side by side for a really long time. I don’t remember the exact moment we met but I’m sure Dante said something funny and I laughter (not much has changed since then) and the rest if history.
The style for our wedding is intimate, romantic, and organic. We wanted our guests to experience us as a couple so incorporated soft romantic colors, we used soft treys, creams, and clash elements throughout the wedding space. In the ceremony we utilized candles to set a romantic mood and placed the chair in circular fashion to create a very intimate space. The reception area continues the intimate and romantic theme, there we again utilized candle light to create a warm and inviting space guest seat family style at long rectangular tables to keep an intimate feel.
Our ceremony will be an intimate gathering of our family and friends. Even though we opted to not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, we wanted both our family and friends to be involved in the ceremony. Each guest will take part in the “unity ceremony”, they will receive a candle that is to be lit during the ceremony, to represent the love, support, and well wishes they will give us throughout our marriage. The candles will stay lit until we are officially announced as husband and wife.
