Happy Monday, beautiful people!! So we’re kicking off the week with the cutest engagement session in Paris!! Some of you may not know this but Paris has a really special place in my heart. It was my first trip to Europe and upon return from that trip I realized that if I can make it to Paris surely I can do anything right? Three months later I launched Chic Brown Bride and here we are still going strong. So it was a no brainer when Dr. Melannie White sent her shoot over to be featured that it would be a yes! Besides these two are just too cute and I love their style and their photos around Paris made me very nostalgic. If you’ve ever visited the city you’ll see what I mean. And if you haven’t this photos will make you want to go!
From the Bride:
Once upon a time in a sea of purple and gold, a young doctor named Mel dreamed of LSU football, the eye of the tiger, and an unforgettable proposal, but soon those dreams dwindled as her life became all work and no play.
One day while at work, her colleague insisted that she meet this charming prince of a patient named Ace. Mel played along with her game of matchmaker, but never imagined how her life was about to change.
From the moment that phone numbers were exchanged, the dwindling light began to reappear. From their unforgettable first date on Frenchman Street, chef Ace’s cooking lessons, football games, and mini vacation getaways, her life began to change for the better.
Ace began to sweep her off her feet, and as they were enjoying dinner in St. Augustine, they saw a rooftop wedding. Both of their minds began to spin and in that moment, they fell head over heels in love with this town. They agreed that this was where their wedding would transpire.
Their love continued to grow and on April 23, 2016, their lives changed forever. Mel had been awfully sick the day before, but her sisters insisted that she go with them to see Maxwell at the New Orleans Jazzfest. Reluctantly, she went and as the music was underway, she was greeted with an LSU eye of the tiger throw rug where her prince, Ace, was on bended knee. As she looked around her, she realized all of her wishes had come true, and without hesitation she said yes.”
