Hello darlings!!! Today, we are going to go over a quick lesson about veils..which who knew there were so many kinds of veils? From birdcage to cathedral and everything in between. Pay attention there will be a quiz at the end! 😉
Birdcage Veil– short veil usually stops at the chin. This one to me is very fashionable.

Shoulder/Flyaway Length– Well this one is pretty self explanatory. Sits at your shoulders or right below them. Great option for a dress that has a lot of detailing on the lower back or bust. Image Source
Elbow: Elegant & Classy goes right above or below your elbow.

Fingertip: Sits at the brides fingertips. Very common style that usually goes with any dress and not as long as the cathedral or chapel.Image Source
Chapel: A more formal longer veil..extends past the length of your gown.
Cathedral: A little more high maintenance and the most formal of them all! Goes way beyond the length of your gown and adds a more dramatic look.
Last but not least is the blusher: This is actually an add on feature that brides opt for and others not. A blusher actually covers your face as you walk down the aisle and either your father flips it over when he gives you away or your new hubby will when he comes in for that big kiss!Image Source
Keep in mind that which veil choice you make is really up to you and how you feel. In my opinion, each style needs to be visibly seen with your dress on, in order to make the best decision.
So did I leave any out? Will you be wearing a veil?
