Hello beautiful people!! It’s a new month and we’ve got a new segment here on the blog! Starting today and once a month I will feature a destination that will be a perfect vacation spot for a honeymoon, romantic getaway or even a destination wedding. Some of you may know, outside of running the blog I also curate and plan destination weddings and honeymoons for couples alongside Brenda Young, with Encore Romance Travel. With that I attend educational conferences and expos to continue to stay on top of what’s going on in the industry. Last month, I had the honor of attending a dinner and expo sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta. It was a lovely evening filled with great information about the beautiful destination of Thailand. Here are 3 reasons why should consider Thailand for your next trip:
Phuket: Ok folks, gone are the days when if you want a beach getaway you only go to the Caribbean. Known as the ‘pearl of the south’ Phuket is located South of Bangkok and is one of Thailand’s largest Islands and showcases one of the world’s best beaches. With outdoor activities such as snorkeling, sailing, water skiing & horseback riding. Not to mention tons of other excursions that include horse back riding, museums and festivals. This city gives you a little bit of everything.
The Food: Bangkok was recently named the best international city in the world for street food by Afar Magazine. Great spices, vegetables, seafood & many exotic ingredients. Don’t believe me? Experience first hand on your own when you take a cooking class where you can actually go to the local markets and pick your ingredients and indulge in an extensive class full of Thai cooking.
It’s Affordable: When people think of going abroad often times it’s thought of with spending thousands and thousands of dollars. So not true. Your dollar goes a long way in Thailand and with the right planning and consultant (hint, hint) you can definitely get the best bang for your buck and have a wonderful experience.
Here are some pics from that evening:
Have you ever been to Thailand?
