Back in 2012 I had experienced a trip of a lifetime. I went to Paris! Let me tell you, this was like a life long dream of mine something I had longed for since a child and to have accomplished this dream alongside my bestie was such a wonderful reality. While there the bestie and I quickly noticed how Paris is such a city for lovers. I mean everywhere we went we noticed couples embracing one another and showing a little PDA. It’s such a beautiful city and to witness it at night is a site to see.
For the tourist lover in you: Paris has so much rich history and buildings that are so regal-like you may be walking past the post office and think that it’s a museum! Speaking of museums The Louvre is one of the world’s largest museums and also a historic monument. If you love history this place is a must see that goes through centuries of artwork, sculptures and paintings. Honestly, you need a whole day for this museum!

Sweets, pastries and macarons: One thing I absolutely loved about being in Paris was the food! But not just the entrees I loved all the delicious pastries and sweets. I mean you can quite possibly get a pastry on every corner. But the one place you must visit is Laduree. And why you might ask? They have the best selection of macarons anyone can ask for. In case you didn’t know a macaron is a small sandwich like pastry made of mostly sugar and iced sugar that usually has a ganache like filling or some have buttercream.
Scenery for days: One thing I will say about Paris is that you can literally walk out your hotel with no destination in mind and stumble upon things. Such as parks, restaurants, bookstores & many shops. Pictured below is the Luxembourg Gardens. I was wandering around one day and just open to walk into this park and I spent hours just people watching and taking in the city. If you are a couple who loves to wander and get lost (hopefully you speak french!) this is definitely the locale for you and your honeymoon or even just a romantic getaway.
