You ever see pictures of a wedding and wonder why weren’t you there? That’s how I felt when I saw the photo’s of Julian & Bianca’s Cape Cod wedding. This is one of the best themed weddings I’ve seen in a while. The way they in-cooperated their love for travel and their love for family and friends as a whole made my heart smile. Amanda from Shoreshotz Photography gave such a detailed account of their day and was able to capture some awesome shots people. But see for yourself below!
From the Photographer:
“Julian and Bianca envisioned an intimate, unique wedding that focused on their love and the love they share for their family and friends. Their friends all played very important roles on their wedding day. Their close friend Andrew whom attended college with the couple officiated the wedding ceremony. Another friend Paul played acoustic guitar during the ceremony. The wedding party was filled with close friends from childhood, college and brothers and cousins that are not only family but also best friends. Since the couple has traveled together to a lot of amazing places they chose travel as the theme for their Cape Cod destination wedding.
The personalized travel inspired passport wedding invitations were designed by the brides cousin. Suitcases were the centerpieces for the tables and wedding favors were luggage tags that featured a custom logo designed for the couple. Quoted from Bianca: “The groom has a crazy beard and the bride have some funky hair so our logo features a beard and an afro or “beard and bush!” The logo was also designed by the brides cousin Avery. The wedding was romantic, fun and non-traditional. There were many beautiful and personal details, it was such a wonderful wedding. They had planned on being married on beautiful Old Silver Beach but the rain put a little change in their plans. The staff at Sea Crest and the girls from Vows Floral Design worked together to bring the beach inside! The chairs for guests were set up in a perfect circle to surround the couple with all the love of friends and family. Sand from the beach was brought in along with beautiful flowers and sea shells.
Mark from 2Way Entertainment used his professional uplighting to create a warm romantic atmosphere. The room was beautiful. Each guests seat had a customized program (that included cartoons of the bridal party) and a handmade rock with a love quote. The color theme Shades of blue, grey and small hints of yellow. The bridesmaids gifts were Jessica Simpson blue tote bags, cashmere and wool grey pashminas, yellow Kate Spade stud earrings, Kate Spade make-up pouches and blue bathrobes. All guests received welcome bags with the couples logo, and included Cape cod potato chips, water bottles, a newsletter and other fun goodies. The cocktail hour also had to be held indoors due to the rain. But that didn’t stop all of the guests running out to the beach for a big group photo, something the bride really wanted and everyone was happy to make happen. The cocktail tables were adorned with hydrangeas in glass coca-cola bottles ( the grooms gift to the bride on their first date). For the reception each table had a suitcase with hydrangeas. All tables were named after places the couple have been together. On top of each suitcase was a picture of them at that location and a funny story about their travels to that location.
Even though there was some rain on Cape Cod that day, Bianca and Julian and their wedding party just wanted to have fun on the beach. We were able to capture lots of beautiful photographs for them because they were just so happy to be together celebrating, a little rain didn’t slow them down. As the sun was ready to set the rain almost tapered off, and we were blessed with one of the famous Sea Crest sunsets, of course we snuck back out to capture it!The brides gown was a very fitted lace, ivory gown with a small train, purchased from Weddings 826 in Chicago, Il. A detailed grey belt and Badgley Mischka shoes. Bridesmaids wore J. Crew dresses in different styles in different shades of blue and and yellow Kate Spade earrings. Groom and Groomsmen will wear grey tuxedos with ivory accents rented from Men’s Warehouse.”
