I’m so in love with the color palette for today’s styled shoot! Rich gold paired with peach and ivory and the pretty flower crowns worn by the models is just the icing on the cake! Speaking of cake, the petite cakes with lace and ruffles are just too darling to eat. Thank you to LaToya of Elle Kay Events for sending this over. Read on below as Candice from Adorable Designs discusses the concept behind the shoot.
Creating the theme was very random, yet I knew I wanted a way to capture classic romance images through a vintage lens. The inspired color palette includes the tones of Peach, Ivory, Chocolate, and 24k gold as the metal just fit that theme perfectly. The atmosphere of this shoot was set in a outdoor brick garden found at a local Chicago art center – the brideport arts center. I wanted to stay away from anything traditional, so instead of a veil, floral blooms generally used in bouquet were used to create the most beautiful and delicate headpiece that complimented the lace and silk fabrics worn by the brides. The desserts were simple and sweet pulling in the vintage details with lace and ruffle textures used to design the cakes. The stationery brought together vintage and romance with the classic lovers silhouette.”
