There is always a lot of misconception about working with a travel consultant when it comes to planning a trip. As a romance travel specialist, I may be a little biased with today’s post…but I’m okay with that. 😉 The best part of your wedding planning IS the honeymoon! For some couples this is the first time you are traveling together as a couple, why leave that to chance with inaccurate options from the internet or trying to find time to do it yourself? While working with a travel consultant is not for everyone, Here are my top 3 reasons why you should:
I do the research for you: You’re stressed out. You didn’t get your cake order in on time. You’ve just planned a wedding. And I can go on and on. You simply don’t have the time to research and spend countless hours trying to figure this out and plan your wedding. And there is so much information out there on the internet you don’t know what’s accurate or not. The honeymoon should be the best part of the wedding and as a travel specialist, I do all the leg work for you and present it back to you in a timely fashion.
I’ve been there done, that: In most cases, the travel specialist has been to these resorts. They’ve development relationships with the managers and suppliers who want to ensure you have a good time. But, with that said there is no way possible to be an expert on the whole world. That’s where my connections come in with other colleagues who may have recently visited and can give firsthand knowledge on many aspects of the location…simply put, we know people. Not to mention, we go through ongoing training and get the latest happenings on many destinations. We want to send you somewhere so that when you come back you not only rave about us you continue to use us over time and build a lasting relationship.
Custom Itinerary: If you’re working with a consultant who just sends you information via email and you never spoke with them you may want to reconsider. Similarly, if you see a ‘deal’ on Groupon you should always check the fine print and see what the specifications are and if this trip really fit you…as a couple. My job is to get to know to you..Are you beach people? Or adventurous? Maybe a mixture of both? I create custom honeymoon based off what you want to do. There is no one size fits all in travel.
